Animal theme for Brookmans Park’s annual celebration

Villagers promise plenty of fun and colour for the 58th Brookmans Park Village Day next month, with stalls, fairground rides, music, and a wide range of food and drink.

The Village Day, which every year raises thousands of pounds for Brookmans Park Primary School, will take place on the village green from on Saturday, June 17, with a fancy dress parade leaving at 12.45pm.

Helen Coffer, chairwoman of the parent teacher association, said: “Village Day is in its 58th year and draws the local community every year. Last year Village Day made over £15,000 and the PTA raised £30,000 in total, which we couldn’t do without the support of the local community.”

With a theme of All Creatures Great and Small, the event will include a dog show, and feature various reptiles and insects.
