EMOTIONS ran high at a public meeting last night (Monday) organised to protest against plans to build an incinerator in Hatfield.
Around 80 residents from across the town gathered at Hilltop Hall in Bishops Rise, to hear universal denouncement of the county council's plans to build an incinerator at New Barnfield, in Travellers Lane.
The meeting, organised by campaign group Action Hatfield, ended with a vote, the outcome of which was unanimous - nobody present supported the construction of the incinerator.
For a full report of the meeting see tomorrow's WHT.
