A BODY believed to be that of missing teen Amelia Arnold will not be formally identified until later today (Tuesday).

Police made the macabre discovery in Travellers Lane, Hatfield, yesterday and are not releasing the cause of death at present.

A Herts Police spokeswoman said: “Formal identification will not take place until later today.

“The cause of death is not something the officer wants to release at this time, I can’t give you that.”

Jack Wall, of Hadrians Walk in Stevenage, has been charged with the murder of the 19-year-old and is due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court today.

Amelia had been missing since Wednesday last week from the home she shared with Mr Wall and her young daughter.

41-year-old Joseph Potter from Sycamore Avenue in Bletchley appeared before Hatfield Remand Court this morning charged with perverting the course of justice.

He has been remanded in custody.
