MURDERED Amelia Arnold's father spoke to the Welwyn Hatfield Times following the guilty verdict handed down to killer Jack Wall.
Laurence Arnold spoke on behalf of the former Sir Frederic Osborn schoolgirl’s family today (Friday), after Wall, 22, was found guilty of murder.
The family wept with relief as the guilty verdict was read out.
In the statement Mr Arnold praised the jury and appeared to hit out at officials who he claimed had failed his daughter.
He said: “We are obviously extremely pleased with the verdict of the jury.
“They have taken time to go over the facts and have reached the correct decision, and “I thank them for that.
“I would just like to say that more could have and should have been done to help my daughter Amelia.
He added: “Nothing is going to bring Amelia back to us.
“We will never get over this tragedy, but in time the loving, funny, beautiful memories of Amelia will over shadow this horrific period.”
