THE trial of a man accused of killing former Welwyn Garden City schoolgirl Amelia Arnold is due to start today (Monday).

Jack Wall, 22, denies murder, but has previously admitted burying her body in Travellers Lane, Hatfield.

Amelia, 19, a former pupil at Sir Frederic Osborn, had been missing from her Stevenage home for three days when her body was discovered in woodland in November.

It is thought she died on or around November 8. She was discovered on November 11.

The trial is expected to last six days. At a hearing in March, Wall – Amelia’s former boyfriend – denied murder, but admitted obstructing a coroner.
