SINGING star and dancing queen Alesha Dixon has returned to her old roots in Welwyn Garden City to meet the future stars of showbusiness.
The pop princess and winner of Strictly Come Dancing attended the annual awards of Top Hat Stage School held at her former school Monk's Walk.
Over 70 gifted youngsters from the stage school were delighted, and surprised, to see the former Mis-Teeq singer at the event on Saturday, June 27.
Alesha gave out a number of awards to students aged four to 12 years old who were rewarded in categories such as best actor, best singer and best tap dancer award.
Principal of Top Hat Warren Bacci said of his guest: "She was really very inspiring to our students and it was a privilege having her there.
