Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council will decide tonight whether to grant permission for an Aldi supermarket in Welwyn Garden City.

The store would be on the east side of Bessemer Road, to the north of the Bakehouse pub.

The council’s Development Management Committee will consider the proposal in a meeting tonight.

Plans for the store include associated parking, with 106 customer car parking spaces, servicing and landscaping.
