Air ambulance lands in Hatfield after man’s 10ft fall

A man in his 60s was rushed to hospital after falling from a ladder in Hatfield.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust received a call at 2.39pm today to Hillcrest in Hatfield.

“An ambulance crew and Herts Air Ambulance attended.

“They treated a man in his 60s who had suffered a broken ankle after falling about 10 feet from a ladder.

“He was sedated at the scene before being taken to Lister Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.

“The air ambulance medics also travelled with the patient en route to hospital.”
