Air ambulance paramedics were called to help a man in cardiac arrest in Hatfield this morning.

The ambulance service was called at just before 7.30am today to a report of a man who was not breathing in Bishops Rise.

A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, ambulance officer and East Anglian Air Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

They treated a man, believed to be in his 50s, who was in cardiac arrest.

Following treatment at the scene, he was resuscitated and was taken by land ambulance to Lister Hospital for further care.
