Air ambulance caught on film in Potters Bar


Paramedics managed to restart the heart of a man in cardiac arrest in Potters Bar before he was flown to hospital.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene shortly before 4.50pm in Gregory Avenue yesterday.

The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance landed in Oakmere Park.

An ambulance crew and hazardous response team also attended.

Paramedics were on site in under five minutes.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “The call came in of a report of a man in cardiac arrest.

“He was confirmed in cardiac arrest when we got on scene so his heart had stopped beating

“After treating the patient at the scene we were able to restart the patient’s heart. After stabilising him and he was airlifted to Harefield Hospital in a critical condition.”
