An air ambulance was called to Welwyn Garden City


An air ambulance landed in Welwyn Garden City yesterday after reports that a man had stopped breathing.

The police and ambulance crews were called at 8pm yesterday to Knightsfield, where the man, believed to be in his 40s, had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Paramedics managed to restart his heart, before he was taken to Lister Hospital by land ambulance in a critical condition.
