A FIGHT broke out after a party spilled out in a village during the early hours of Sunday.
Two men were taken to hospital after a brawl outside Codicote Spice.
More than nine police vehicles and a helicopter were scrambled to the scene in a bid to stop violence escalating.
Hitchin neighbourhood team inspector Simon Tabert said: "This is an isolated incident and it was thanks to residents that police were alerted quickly and were able to respond swiftly and prevent any escalation of the situation.
"We would like to hear from witnesses or anyone with information about this incident."

*Three men were arrested and bailed on suspicion of violent disorder.
They were a 32-year-old man from Luton, a 21-year-old from Luton and a 17-year-old from WGC.
