The westbound carriageway of the A414 North Orbital Road between Colney Heath and Junction 3 of the A1(M) for St Albans and South Hatfield is closed following a crash this morning.
Traffic is at a standstill, while there is also queuing on the eastbound carriageway and between Colney Heath and London Colney, with delays of up to 15 minutes.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
