A diesel spill on the A414 has forced highways chiefs to close the road “into the evening” while the tarmac is resurfaced.
The road has been closed since the early hours of this morning, after a lorry jackknifed near the London Colney roundabout.
A spokesman for Hertfordshire Highways: “Resurfacing work will take place this afternoon on the westbound carriageway of the A414 London Colney roundabout following an oil spillage this morning.
“We expect the road to remain closed into the evening.”
Work has now started on the road.
