Vehicle blaze causes delays on A1(M)

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A1(M) by the junction before Hatfield following a vehicle fire this morning.

At around 9.30am, police attended a vehicle on fire at Junction 1 southbound by South Mimms services.

Officers were joined by firefighters and Highways East.

Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing tweeted at 9.51am: “All lanes are now reopening, thank you for your patience.”
