A man has been banned from getting behind the wheel for a year after driving dangerously in Welwyn Garden City.

Christian Carter, 46, initially denied driving dangerously but changed his plea to guilty when he appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on October 5.

The court heard how he had driven a black VW Polo dangerously on the A1(M) northbound near the junction with the A1000 on October 9 last year.

Carter was fined £1,350.

He was ordered to pay victim services £135 and £200 court costs.

The resident of Beadlow, Shefford, was banned from driving for a year - disqualification was obligatory for the offence.
