That was the reaction of Stuart Phillips, headteacher of Chancellor's School in Pine Grove, Brookmans Park, after the majority of his pupils received top grades in their A-level results.
A total of 51 per cent of students gained a grade A to B, and 31 per cent of those gained a grade A.
Mr Phillips said: "We're very, very pleased, absolutely thrilled.
"We have a record number of A grades, and a record number of students getting three or more As."
He added: "They've [the pupils] have worked really hard.
"It's been a very good year for us, and we're so pleased for all of them.
