The police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an elderly man was taken to hospital following a crash in Hatfield.

Police were called at 11.58am on Saturday, September 30, to reports of a collision between a car and a 93-year-old man who was on a mobility scooter in Bishops Rise.

A police spokeswoman said: “We have not arrested anybody in connection with this incident.

“Police are investigating.”

An ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended the scene to treat the man.

The pensioner was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Anybody who might have witnessed this, or has any other information is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 337 of September 30.
