SUPERMARKET bosses have helped to spread some Christmas cheer by donating 800 worth of food and drink to help feed the elderly and lonely.
The donation to WGC-based charity The Mixed Group will mean it can provide a Christmas Day lunch to more than 100 people, and send visitors home with a goody bag for their evening meal, too.
Organiser Sean Cox said: “This means we can spend out on other things and give extra gifts for our guests.”
Tesco corporate affairs manager Alex Trenchard said: “We have a responsibility to support our local communities and work hard to be a good neighbour. We’re delighted to help The Mixed Group lay on such a fabulous spread for WGC residents.”
