Detailed plans have been unveiled for a 60-bed care home on the old QEll Hospital site.

Ideal Care Homes has submitted an application to Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, known as a reserved matters application following on from a successful application for outline permission.

The developer wants to build a three-storey residential care home for the elderly with associated parking and landscaping.

The site is off Ascots Lane.

Ideal Care homes has developed a series of care homes in a number of locations across the country, including Yorkshire, Lancashire, Birmingham and Leicester.
