A Welwyn Garden City Eurovision singer is set to perform a hometown gig.

Alex Larke, known for representing the UK in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest as part of Electro Velvet, will front The Rolling Clones at the Hawthorne Theatre, Campus West, on Friday, November 6, at 7.30pm.

The Rolling Clones, formed in 1997, are gearing up for their 30th anniversary in 2027.

The tribute band aims to recreate the dynamic atmosphere of a Rolling Stones concert, featuring well-known rock anthems and engaging with the audience.

Alex, a local musician who has toured with the group both nationally and internationally, expressed his excitement at performing for his hometown audience.

He said: "The show is very much about recreating the energy, swagger and chaos of a Rolling Stones gig rather than doing the museum-piece tribute thing."

The upcoming concert promises a repertoire of songs that have cemented the Rolling Stones' place in rock history, including hits like Satisfaction, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, and Paint It Black.

The gig is expected to be a nostalgic night for rock enthusiasts, celebrating the music of one of the genre's most influential bands.

Tickets are available on the Campus West website.
