Olive is the focus of RSPCA Southridge's pet appeal this week

Well I am one excited puppy who is so happy to have this space to tell you about me and to let you know I NEED A HOME!

My name is 'Olive' and I am simply gorgeous at around 10-months-old with super brindle markings and big paws.

No one is quite sure what mix I am but whatever it is I am a looker, and at just over 20 kg now, I will be quite a big girl when I am fully grown.

I am full of wonder at the world and with my inquisitive nature I am discovering there are all sorts of experiences to be had in the big wide world which I cannot wait for.

I am so happy spending time with familiar staff and volunteers here at Southridge, but will need kind and patient people who will understand that, despite my curiosity, I will need to take things at my own pace, because as with most rescue dogs, I have experienced difficulties in my short life in the past.

This means I can be a little nervous in new situations.

I would be happy to live with a family with children over 16 years of age, and if there is a dog friendly canine in the family that could show me the ropes, that would be super-duper for me.

I have recently begun my training and socialisation journey and am learning skills such as responding to my name, to sit, down and to walk on lead.

This is something I will need to continue with my new family, using plenty of patience, reassurance and positive interactions and experiences.

I absolutely love to play with my toys, particularly soft toys. My favourite one is a wrinkly pheasant and I love to carry this and other soft toys around, take them to my bed and bringing to greet visitors .

I am looking for a loving family who will gently introduce me to new experiences, celebrate my progress and help me to become a happy and confident adult dog.

I will need a home with a safe, secure private garden and of course a cosy bed and hopefully a nice sofa to snuggle up on with my family.

With the help of the right family I know I will blossom into a wonderful companion and bring joy to everyone I live with.

So, if you think you can offer me the home I need, fill out an application right now!
