A man has been banned from Hertfordshire in connection with multiple vehicle offences.

Kyle Brownbill, 34, of Stanley Street in Luton, has been charged with three counts of vehicle interference and two counts of theft from a motor vehicle.

Brownbill has now been bailed ahead of his next court appearance on Friday, November 13, with strict conditions not to enter Hertfordshire.

The force said they hope this provides some "peace of mind" for the community.

Police received a call at 6am on Saturday, September 19, reporting an incident in Cedar Road.

Officers searched the surrounding area and detained a suspect in Linnet Walk.

The arrest was made by the Welwyn Hatfield Response Team, who respond to 999 calls and emergencies.

Sergeant Martin Field, from the Welwyn Hatfield Response Team, said: "Theft from vehicles is one of the current neighbourhood policing priorities and the arrest was made whilst we were conducting proactive patrols.

"I hope this reassures the community that all teams are taking this issue seriously."

Residents are encouraged to join the Herts Connected community messaging service to stay informed about local policing updates.
