The community choir returns to Welwyn Garden City this autumn.
Led by new director Amy Cordina, the Collaboration Choir meets at Ridgeway Academy every Thursday from 8pm to 9.30pm.
Amy said: "I really believe that with the right support, singing together can be a transformative, joyous experience and a brilliant way to build confidence that you can take away and weave into your everyday life."
"I’m excited to be taking over this evening choir in Welwyn. Not only will singing together give people a midweek boost, there’s also a real sense of purpose to be gained from all the charity fundraising we do – we’re building up to something very exciting this Autumn and I’d love to see as many of the local Welwyn community join us as possible!"
Amy is a Disney teaching artist and Vocal Balance-accredited vocal coach with experience in musical theatre, dance and performance.
Anyone can join, regardless of experience or whether they can read music, and there is no audition.
Members learn contemporary songs, socialise and sing together each week in a friendly, supportive setting.
This autumn, Amy plans to teach songs including Best Day Of My Life by American Authors and Man I Need by Olivia Dean.
"Amy is full of creative energy, warmth and fun and loves nothing more than seeing someone's confidence blossom in her choirs."
The Welwyn choir is part of the wider network founded by Carrie Rawlings, bringing people together to sing, socialise and enjoy themselves.
Organisers are urging everyone in the community to try the choir, whether or not they see themselves as singers.

Another local choral group, Hertfordshire Chorus, regularly rehearses in Welwyn Garden City and recently performed Elgar’s The Kingdom at the Royal Festival Hall.
