A Welwyn Garden City car park is set for a major overhaul next month, with improvements including resurfacing, drainage repairs and additional disabled parking.
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council has announced a full resurfacing project for Moors Walk Car Park in Welwyn Garden City.
Work is due to begin on September 1 and the main works are provisionally expected to be completed by the end of October.
Councillor Jane Quinton, executive member for environment, said: "I’m really pleased that these improvements to Moors Walk Car Park are getting underway.
"We know the condition of the car park has been a concern for residents and local businesses, so it’s great to see work starting to create a safer, more accessible and better-quality car park for everyone who uses it."
The scheme follows two public consultation sessions held in March, where residents were invited to give feedback on the plans.

Improvements will include drainage repairs, additional disabled parking, a new pedestrian path, better landscaping, and an upgraded recycling area.
Work will be carried out in two phases to minimise disruption, with some parking remaining available throughout, although space will be limited and locations will change as the project progresses.
Contractor Ringway will manage the site, with signage and supervision in place to help visitors navigate safely during the works.
