Search the Public Notice PortalEquinix have applied for permission to install two noticeboards near its proposed data centre in South Mimms.
If approved, one board would be installed near the service station at the junction between the M25 and the A1(M), while the other board would be installed at the other end of Bridgefoot Lane.
The boards would provide information to residents about ongoing work at the data centre site.
The approved data centre has proven to be controversial, with many residents objecting to the decision to build on Green Belt land.
Planning permission for the data centre, which will offer more than two million square feet of space and will be named Hertfordshire Campus, was granted by Hertsmere Borough Council last year.

Developer Equinix intend to begin work on the data centre site in 2027, with the project set to be completed by 2030.
Documents submitted as part of the application for noticeboards near the site said: “While some interested parties may prefer to stay informed via the project website … other members of the local community may welcome updates on the phased delivery of the approved data centre campus through information displayed on the two notice boards.
“The boards will be located near existing paths so that they are readily accessible to those wishing to view updates on planning construction activity.”
A decision on whether to grant permission for the noticeboards will be made by Hertsmere Borough Council.
