A Welwyn Garden City pub is serving up a brand-new dish with a famous twist.

The Bakehouse is one of almost 500 Marston's pubs across the UK offering the Hawkstone IPA & Beef Pie, which is made with Jeremy Clarkson's award-winning Hawkstone beer.

The shortcrust pastry pie features British diced beef and pulled beef cheek, slow-cooked in a rich Hawkstone IPA gravy with seasonal vegetables and Barber’s Cheddar.

Bottles of Hawkstone IPA are also available to enjoy alongside the meal.

Andy Cross, sales director at Hawkstone, said: "Farming isn't just 'how' Hawkstone is made, it’s 'why' it’s made.

"The more Hawkstone you drink, the more barley we buy from British farmers.

"That's why we're thrilled Marston's is serving Hawkstone IPA, not just by the bottle but also in a Great British pub classic."

Founded by former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, Hawkstone has been brewing award-winning beer using the best produce from British farms since 2021.

Kiran Bains, director of brand activation at Marston's, said: "We're so excited to working with Hawkstone to bring our new take on a pub classic to almost 500 of our pubs across the UK."
