Controversial influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate have been arrested in the United States after a UK investigation into sexual offences
The pair were arrested on Saturday (July 18) in Miami and have been detained pending ongoing legal proceedings.
The Major Crime Unit has been continuing to investigate a number of other offences reported to both Bedfordshire Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary.
Thirty eight new charges have been authorised against the brothers, bringing the total number of charges to 59.
Of these, 42 charges have been authorised against Andrew Tate, 38, and 17 against Tristan Tate, 39.
The Crown Prosecution Service said it had decided to bring further charges against the brothers in relation to four further victims.
Andrew Tate has been charged with seven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging and facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The CPS authorised a further 19 additional charges for offences relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.
Tristan Tate has been charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between July 2010 and August 2017.
Prosecutors are seeking extradition in relation to the original 21 charges and the further charges.
Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas said: "Officers from our major crime unit have been working closely alongside the Crown Prosecution Service and both national and international law enforcement agencies as part of this complex investigation.
"We understand the interest that this case will generate, but we would urge the public not to speculate and to allow the legal process to be carried out correctly.
"There is no place for male violence against women and girls, and we will continue to work tirelessly to support victims and investigate all reports made to us."
