The 'absolute gem' family-run Italian restaurant in Hertfordshire
L'Olivo is the fourth business founded by husband and wife team Sergio and Jo Perano, according to the restaurant's website.
Offering a "charming Italian bustling atmosphere", the restaurant has earned itself an excellent reputation for its food and service.
Described as "contemporary with traditional touches", L'Olivio features original brickwork from the 19th-century 'Nelson's Head' pub, the venue's former business.
L'Olivio shares that it offers traditional and modern takes on Southern Italian dishes, taking inspiration from family roots in the Campania region of Italy, on the Amalfi Coast.
Guests can enjoy meals like risotto funghi, lasagna, linguine Jo, branzino, and pollo limone.
The restaurant also has chef specials, with the choice of ragu salsiccia, lightly twisted pasta, homemade spicy Italian pork and fennel seed sausages, in a tomato sauce.
You can also get calves' liver with either a butter & sage sauce or red wine, onions & bacon, and mashed or sautéed potatoes.
