A popular coffee chain has announced it will be closing its Welwyn Garden City shop for refurbishment this week.

Caffe Nero, located on 31 Howardsgate near Welwyn Garden City train station, will be closed from today (Monday July 6).

Its doors are scheduled to reopen on Saturday (July 11).

A sign on the door of the beloved coffee chain reads: "We're taking a short break to give our coffee house some TLC.

"We will be closed for refurbishment from July 6, but don't worry - we'll be back with a fresh look on Saturday, July 11!

"Thanks for understanding, and we'll see you next week!"

The coffee shop has a decent 3.7 star rating on TripAdvisor, with more than 40 "good" or "excellent" reviews from customers.

One visitor wrote: "A nice place to relax either inside or out with excellent choices of coffee.

"Situated on a corner so all tables have a view of the centre of Welwyn Garden City.

"Very friendly and efficient staff."

The popular chain offers a wide range of hot drinks alongside breakfast and lunch options and sweet treats.
