A long-awaited development in Hatfield will open to the public this month.
Salisbury Square, in Old Hatfield, is set to officially open on June 13.
Hatfield Park will mark the occasion with a community launch event from 11am to 4pm, inviting residents to explore the new public space and enjoy a day of free entertainment.
James Rayner, estate director at Hatfield Park, said: "We’re incredibly excited to officially open Salisbury Square and welcome the community to celebrate with us.
"This weekend marks a major milestone for Hatfield, bringing new life, energy and a place for people to come together in the heart of the town."
The launch event will feature live music, free children’s activities, and free family drop-in craft workshops.
Visitors can make use of the new green space, which includes a children’s play area, and enjoy food from a variety of food trucks offering family favourites throughout the day.
Guests will also receive complimentary entry to Hatfield Park and Gardens on the day.
In addition to the celebrations, the Old Hatfield Market will reopen for 2026.
It will be held in The Stable Yard from 10am to 5pm on both Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June, and will feature artisanal gifts and fresh food from independent local businesses.
Visitors can also browse nearby shops or stop for refreshments at The Coach House Kitchen.
Salisbury Square is part of Gascoyne’s wider community-led regeneration scheme and offers a mix of office suites, retail and hospitality units, three apartments, and five townhouses.
Designed to blend with the surrounding streetscape, the scheme includes a landscaped, accessible green area with seating.
All commercial units are built to meet high sustainability standards, achieving an EPC A rating, and are equipped with air source heat pumps, fibre-ready connectivity, and modern interiors.
