Two huge acts have been added to Hatfield's Folk by the Oak 2026 line-up.

Organisers took to social media to share the news that experimental folk-rockers Black Country, New Road will be closing proceedings with 70 minutes of "musical brilliance".

Drawing on diverse influences from prog rock and post-punk to baroque pop, the Cambridge sensations will no-doubt provide Hatfield with a performance for the ages.

What's more, the penultimate set will come from American legend Seasick Steve, also gracing the main stage for just over an hour.

Expect gritty sounds, homemade guitars and all-round bluesy delights as Steve returns to the festival following a sensational spectacle in 2021.

The ever-popular festival will take place between 12 noon and 10.30pm on Sunday, July 19 at the Queen Elizabeth Oak Field in Hatfield Park.

Set to join the newly announced artists are returning favourites Spell Songs, with a rare festival appearance, and Talisk - one of the most talked-about bands in contemporary folk.

Rounding off the acts already on the bill are electronic-folk fusion pioneers Valtos, Americana-infused six-piece Sam Kelly and the Lost Boys, and Yorkshire-born musician-stroke-ecology-champion Iona Lane.

Head to www.folkbytheoak.com/tickets-shop/ for early bird tickets at £50.50, and keep an eye on the Welwyn Hatfield Times for more line-up announcements as they come.
