A personal trainer is showing that age is no barrier to adventure—as they prove you’re never too old to run away with the circus.

Suzina Blackman, from Panshanger, joined a circus programme for over-50s in September 2024 run by Generation Circus, with shows taking place last weekend.

Suzina, who had never climbed a rope before, took part in a group hula hoop display and a doubles rope act alongside her circus partner, Chris Griggs.

Suzina said: "It was a rebellion against ageism, full of heart from people who refuse to fade quietly."

The cast, aged between 53 and 77, included a performer in a wheelchair.
