The forward's efforts secured a 13th place finish for Potters Bar ahead of a move to Cheshunt.
He began in Watford and Oxford academies before forging a career in non-league football, where he currently plies his trade for Bedford Town.
Dejon is a personal trainer in London alongside his football career and is one of the bookies' favourites for to make an impact in this year's new villa.
Ahead of this evening's launch, the 26-year-old said he is hoping to meet "someone who is beautiful on the inside and out, looks after themselves and is healthy".
Asked for his claim to fame, he added: "My dad being an ex-professional footballer. I’ve met all kinds of famous people through him.
"When I was younger it was weird because he was just my dad, but we’d go to a game and fans were asking for photos. I’ve met David Beckham, he was really nice."
Alongside playing for several non-league clubs, the soon-to-be Islander has made eight appearances for Grenada's national team.
Now in its 12th series on ITV2, the controversial but enduringly popular Love Island sees a group of single men and women placed in a Mallorca villa, with the format seeing the singletons couple up and "recouple" throughout the series, with the public voting for their favourite pairings.
The show has launched the media careers of many former contestants including Hertfordshire native Molly-Mae Hague, who hails from Hitchin.
