Hatfield's first Asian Speciality Market proved to be a roaring success, as hungry punters flocked to the town centre last Saturday.
Taking place from 8am to 3pm, there were plenty of stalls selling the best in Asian food and crafts.
There were also sitar performances, Chinese fan dancers, Chinese dragon acts and Bhangra dancers to keep the crowds entertained.
A number of councillors also attended to mark the inaugural market, including Cllr Frank Marsh, the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, council leader Max Holloway, deputy leader Jane Quinton, Cllr Kieran Thorpe and Cllr James Broach.
"Market traders were selling Asian food and sweets, homemade crafts, artwork and more," read a Facebook post from Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
"There was also sitar performances, Chinese fan dancers, Chinese dragon acts and Bhangra dance acts throughout the day keeping everyone entertained.
"Don't worry if you didn't make it, as the Asian Speciality Market will be the second Saturday of every month. The next one will be on August 10. We'll see you there!
"If you are interested in running a stall, please email hatfieldtowncentre@welhat.gov.uk."
The Asian Speciality Market is one of many held in Hatfield, with the Farmers Market taking place on the first Saturday of every month, and the Vintage and Preloved Market running on the last Saturday of the month.
