The Howard Centre has addressed rumours that a new bowling alley could be opening at the Welwyn Garden City shopping centre.

Speculation about the exciting new attraction has been rife on social media, with plenty of residents keen to see the alley come to the town.

The Welwyn Hatfield Times contacted The Howard Centre for comment, with centre manager Helen Johnson neither confirming or denying the rumours, although she did admitted the centre was "currently dealing with interest from a wide range of occupiers".

"It would be impossible to comment on every rumour regarding new tenants coming to the Howard Centre," she said.

"We can confirm that we are currently dealing with interest from a wide range of occupiers for the Howard centre and will announce as soon as we are in a position to do so."
