A woman has been charged with murder after the death of a man in Welwyn Garden City on Sunday.

Tuche Coskun, of Central Avenue, Enfield, has been charged with murder,  one count of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

The 21-year-old, who was arrested at the scene, appeared in court this afternoon and been remanded into custody. She will next appear at Luton Crown Court on Friday, May 24.

Police were called to a disturbance at an address in Linkfield just before 3am on Sunday, May 19, and despite best efforts by the emergency services, a 42-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been named locally as Gavin Hubbard.

"We have specially trained officers supporting Gavin’s family at this most difficult time," said Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.

"I’d like to thank members of the public who have already called us with information and would ask if anybody else has information that may be relevant to this investigation to please contact us.

"On behalf of Gavin’s family, I would like to politely request that they are given time to process this news privately and for people not to speculate on the circumstances."
