Almost 900 crimes were reported to Suffolk police in Ipswich during February, latest figures have revealed. 

The latest statistics from data.police reveal the Ipswich wards and roads where crimes were reported in the month.

According to the data there were 895 crimes reported to police during February. 

Among the crimes reported to Suffolk police included violence and sexual offences, drug offences, shop lifting and anti-social behaviour.

The ward where most crimes were reported was Alexandra with 254. The most reported crime in the area was in the violence and sexual offences category.

The figure is much lower than last year as there were 325 crimes reported in the Alexandra ward during February 2023. 

The area with the fewest number of crimes reported was Whitton with police called to 60 incidents in the month.
