Hertfordshire police have arrested a 27-year-old man in Howardsgate, Welwyn Garden City, after officers recovered a bicycle that they suspect has been stolen.
The silver Pinnacle was recovered at around 7.45pm on Friday, April 12, when a member of the public reported a man who had been acting suspiciously.
The individual, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of stealing a bicycle and going equipped to steal.
PC Alanna Pearce said: "We believe this bike was stolen and we want to find the rightful owner.
“We think the owner had locked it on the bike racks at the bottom of the steps outside the main entrance to the Howard Centre.
“If you believe this is your bike, please get in touch by emailing me at Alanna.Pearce@herts.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/29176/24.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage the public to register their bikes at bikeregister.com. This national database helps us to track you down if we find your stolen bicycle.”
