More than £8,000 has been raised for Welwyn Garden City charity RECOVER at the RO Group's annual quiz night.

The event, held at the Wyllyots Theatre, celebrated the Potters Bar-based, family-owned trading company's 20 years of fundraising.

The night included a mix of activities with an auction, a raffle and a prize draw for unique hampers, which were provided thanks to donations from the community, local businesses, and RO employees.

Edward Rowlandson, group managing director of the RO, said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody involved for helping us raise £8,000 this year.

"We are delighted to stand behind Ian, Holly and their team, who offer vital support to many in our local community who are on the road of recovery."

RECOVER is an upcycling charity which provides opportunities for vulnerable adults to rebuild their lives through the medium of transforming furniture.
