Seven Welwyn Hatfield residents are among those fined by the courts in recent weeks, including speeding motorists and a company director who did not file statements.

Each offender has appeared at magistrates' courts across the country, having previously been charged.

1. James Stenhouse, 35

James Stenhouse has been ordered to pay £383 for failing to deliver a confirmation statement before the end of the period of 14 days after the end of a review period, as the director of Oliver Stenhouse Ltd.

The defendant, of Birch Court in Howlands, Welwyn Garden City, was ordered to pay a £220 fine, an £88 surcharge, and £75 in costs following a hearing at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on March 21.

2. Oliver Coates, 29

Oliver Coates has been ordered to pay £50 for breaching a domestic violence protection order made at St Albans Magistrates' Court.

The defendant, of Heronswood Road in Welwyn Garden City, was issued with the fine at Hatfield Magistrates' Court, after his victim made a complaint for him to be liable for a penalty.

3. Robert Gaskell, 25

Robert Gaskell has been ordered to pay £500 after being caught speeding in Borstal.

The defendant, from Hatfield, was at the wheel of a Ford Focus when he was captured travelling at 47mph in a 30mph zone by a speed camera in Maidstone Road.

At Medway Magistrates' Court And Family Court, the 25-year-old was ordered to pay a £293 fine, a £117 surcharge, and £90 in costs, as well as having six points added to his licence.

4. Mohamed Khan, 46

Mohamed Khan has been ordered to pay £408 after being caught speeding in Cricklewood.

The defendant, of Briars Wood in Hatfield, was at the wheel of an Audi Q7 on August 31, 2023 when he was captured travelling at 49mph in a 40mph zone by a speed camera on the A406.

At the Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court, the 46-year-old was ordered to pay a £220 fine, a £88 surcharge, and £100 in costs, as well as having three points added to his licence.

5. Hajnalka Horvath, 50

Hajnalka Horvath has been ordered to pay £408 after being caught speeding in Southall.

The defendant, of Redhall Lane in Hatfield, was at the wheel of a Honda Civic on September 4, 2023, when they were captured travelling at 26mph in a 20mph zone by a speed camera on the A4020 Uxbridge Road.

At Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court, the 50-year-old was ordered to pay a £220 fine, a £88 surcharge, and £100 in costs, as well as having three points added to his licence.

6. Taniqua Paul, 22

Taniqua Paul has been ordered to pay £222 after being caught speeding in Potters Bar.

The defendant, of Applecroft Road in Welwyn Garden City, was at the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo on May 7, 2023, when they were captured travelling at 43mph in a 30mph zone by a speed camera on the A1000 Barnet Road.

At the Stevenage Magistrates' Court, the 22-year-old was ordered to pay a £80 fine, a £32 surcharge, and £110 in costs, as well as having four points added to his licence.

7. Zainab Al-Imam, 56

Zainabi Al-Iman has been ordered to pay £166 after being caught using a mobile phone while driving on the M25.

The defendant, of Coopers Green Lane in Hatfield, was at the wheel of a Lexus NX on September 4, 2023, when they used a hand-held mobile telephone on the M25 Southbound between Junction 15 and 16.

At Bromley Magistrates' Court, the 56-year-old was ordered to pay a £40 fine, a £16 surcharge, and £110 in costs, as well as having six points added to his licence.
