Hello readers,

Can you imagine being severely undernourished, with your ribs showing, a wound on your face, anxious, scared and confused?

Well that is my sad story. Unfortunately I cannot tell you any more about my past, but I think you get the picture.

Southridge RSPCA came to my rescue and through their medical care, good food and lots of love I have metamorphosed from a frightened, sad, scrawny (approximately seven-year-old) 'Rottweiler caterpillar' into the stunning, confident 'butterfly' you can see from my photos.

Initially, being traumatised by my experiences I was rather quiet and withdrawn, but not any more!

Now, like the best of Rottweilers I am cuddly, snuggly and affectionate with a warmth, charm and heart of gold that makes me a real Southridge favourite.

Welwyn Hatfield Times: Odin

My manners are impeccable, I walk politely on lead, am enthusiastic and energetic when free to run in the large compound, and have great recall and listen to my carer when out and about.

Being from an intelligent and loyal breed, and very fond of a treat or two, I am highly motivated to please so easy to train and quick to learn.

While I generally ignore or just show some mild interest in my fellow canine shelter residents, I would prefer to be the only dog in the home, and with an absence of cats too.

Also although I am gentle and mild mannered, because my history is unknown, Southridge thinks I should go to an adult-only home.

Imagine curling up with loyalty and love next to you on the sofa - well that is me.

At times I am sad and feel lonely, dreaming of that special home awaiting me. Is that with you?
