Children across Welwyn Hatfield and Potters Bar are dressing up in their best literary costumes to celebrate World Book Day.
World Book Day takes place every year on the first Thursday in March as a national celebration of books and reading.
Every child in full-time education receives a voucher to spend on books, with schools across the UK taking part in special activities to celebrate.
Some of last year's costumes included Cruella De Vil, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka and more.
