Dear readers,

I am feeling 'Lucky' to have this opportunity to tell you my story and hope you will be the one to restore the luck and love to my life again.

My world fell apart when my wonderful owner, who was my best friend, constant companion and love of my life for 12 years, passed away.

We shared such a close bond, and I had lived totally indoors my whole life with her, nurtured and cared for by this gentle lady.

When I was brought to live at Southridge, the cattery though warm and comfortable, was strange and terrifying - I was in shock!

My 'Lucky' name, now seemed inappropriate and ironic.

I am naturally a very sweet, affectionate girl, but having lost everything I had ever known, it has taken me over a year to gain the trust of staff and volunteers, who have shown me nothing but kindness.

My beautiful startling eyes show my inner thoughts and feelings - bewilderment, sadness, loneliness - and a longing for a special person in my twilight years, who I can again form a strong bond with, like I once had.

I am looking for a very quiet household as befits a 13-year-old cat, a single person or a couple, with no children or other animals, as I am not used to either.

I will need space and time to adjust, with places I can feel safe and happy, while I settle in.

I will need a litter box indoors and may prefer to continue the indoor life, although with time I might like to venture outside into a safe area for a spot of sunbathing.

Being a feline senior citizen, I do have a bit of medical history - well don't we all as we get older!

This doesn't mean I have lost my frisky and fun side though, as I enjoy to chase my toys and munch on tasty treats.

So if you are that kind, caring, patient, cat-loving person, looking for a VERY special feline girl, I am longing to meet you.

I will brighten your life with all the love I long to share again with my own special friend.

Please make me 'Lucky' again!
