Hatfield is the brand's second Hertfordshire venue after Watford, with other locations in the south including Croydon, Basingstoke, Fulham, Alperton, Rayner Lane, Hounslow, Romford, Tooting and Southampton.

Up the road from The Galleria and a short walk from the University of Hertfordshire, the shop is owned and run by Priyanka Dave, Keta Patel and Bina Gadiya.

Owners Keta, Bina and Priyanka have been living in Hatfield for the past six years, often travelling to other Scooperb locations for ice cream and desserts.

A company spokesperson said: "Once they found out Scooperb was offering franchisee opportunities they 100 per cent knew they needed to bring this to Hatfield."

Describing Scooperb's ethos, a spokesperson said: "We are an aspirational brand, beautifully and innovatively designed and inspired by the beautiful flavours and aromatic spices of South Asia, relating to the founder’s childhood.

"All of the ice creams and desserts are eggless, vegetarian, or vegan. Handcrafted, and churned with very little air, resulting in purer, more robust flavours and the creamiest textures you can find."
