Hello kind readers,

I am Flower, a beautiful tortoiseshell and white, approximately two-year-old neutered female cat.

I came to Southridge when my owner could no longer care for me. I lived with several cats in my previous home but I didn't get on well with them so definitely want to be the only feline in my new home.

I have been at Southridge for a long time now, and although everyone here is very kind and caring, I find the environment stressful, particularly as I am quite a nervous girl, so I am longing for my own home away from the day to day noises and bustle of the cattery.

I respond well to gentle handling and giving me treats helps me too, but I am not keen on too much of a fuss at present.

However, I am sure given time and a calm environment, I will thrive and settle well with a kind, patient and dedicated owner, who is understanding of my needs and will allow me to adjust to my new home at my own pace.

Due to my nervous disposition, I will need to be the only pet in the family (I am very afraid of dogs), and want to live in an adult-only household.

Initially I will need lots of places to climb up high, so I can hide until I feel confident to come out and explore.

I am a young cat, and enjoy lots of interactions with toys which encourage me to play, feel happier and more sure of myself.

Later when I am ready to go outside a cat-flap would be handy so I can come and go as I choose.

Please, please, come and meet me. You can help me blossom and bloom into the confident, affectionate cat I long to be.
