A man has been arrested and drugs have been seized after a police chase in Welwyn Garden City.

At around 1am on Thursday, December 21, officers from Welwyn Hatfield Intervention pursued a vehicle which had failed to stop for them on Chequers.

The pursuit ended when the vehicle collided with vegetation in Ascots Lane, and the uninjured driver was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply, failing to stop for police and careless and inconsiderate driving.

A large quantity of cannabis was also seized.
