A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a Ford Fiesta crashed on the A1(M).

The incident took place near Junction 1 for South Mimms at around 9.15pm yesterday evening (Thursday, January 4), when the car collided with the central reservation while travelling northbound.

Hertfordshire police attended, along with members of the East of England Ambulance Service and Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service.

The man in his 20s was then taken to hospital for treatment.

Road closures were put in place while the incident was being dealt with, which were lifted by 10.30pm.
