Hello folks, may I introduce myself - my name is Billy and I think you will agree from my photos that I am a really special and handsome boy.

In fact I am a bit of a celebrity having starred with Joanna Page, from Gavin and Stacey, who is also an RSPCA Ambassador, in an Omaze advert, so you may want to meet me for my pawtograph.

My story is a sad one, I was cruelly abandoned in north London which was a very frightening and confusing experience.

Luckily a kind rescuer took me to a vets in the area and from there I came to live at Southridge.

That was nine months ago and despite the kind people here, I am very sad and finding kennel life difficult, stressful and lonely.

My hope of finding my forever home and to be a part of a family before Christmas is looking a bit bleak, unless dear reader you can perhaps grant my wish?

I am a smashing chap, a medium sized nine-year-old young at heart crossbreed. Everyone who knows me agrees, I'm incredibly friendly, gentle, sweet natured and a lot of fun.

I adore company and a cuddle and am a great walking buddy as my manners on lead are impeccable.

As Southridge doesn't have a lot of history on me, an adult home is probably best although I could consider the company of older children in their teens.

I also like other dogs, so I am not averse to sharing my new family's love with a canine friend. I will need a secure fenced garden to run and play in as well as someone who is home a lot as I love company.

So to sum up - if you want a super duper, friendly, loving, cuddly well behaved doggie friend I am here waiting with my bags packed to join you for Christmas (or even afterwards!).
