A school in Potters Bar has raised more than £3,000 for BBC Children in Need thanks to their running and jumping efforts.

The Wroxham School raised a total of £3,391, with every pupil taking part in the run Pudsey fundraising event last week, by either running or participating in a special PE activity.

Generous families and friends donated to the fundraiser, contributing to what the school believes is the most successful charity event they have ever had.

"The campaign has been phenomenally successful," said Nicky Easey, headteacher at The Wroxham School.

"We weren’t expecting the amount raised to be so enormous and we have been blown away by our families’ generosity."
